Running a booth sale from a phone or tablet

Tips for flea markets, conventions, and pop-ups — from packing the tote to syncing online afterward.

Selling at a flea market, convention, or pop-up is fast, loud, and unpredictable. A little setup before the weekend makes it much easier to keep your inventory accurate across the table and your online store — and to spend your energy on customers instead of spreadsheets.

Before the show

  • Pick what’s going to the table and check current market prices

  • Keep a count of every box you pack

  • Charge your phone or tablet and bring a backup battery

  • Decide your trade rates ahead of time in case buyers bring items

At the table

Ring up sales and trades on your phone or tablet. Take cash, card, or store credit, and let regulars earn rewards just like they would in a store.

When the Wi-Fi drops

Event Wi-Fi is famously unreliable. GameSnapPOS is cloud-based, but if your connection drops briefly you can keep recording transactions — they sync automatically once you’re back online. Keep a mobile hotspot handy for longer outages.

After the show

What sold comes off your online listings, and what didn’t is already counted for next weekend. Take a few minutes to review the day:

  • Which categories sold best

  • What you took in on trades

  • Which items you should bring more — or less — of next time
